Cops probe dispute which ended in one dead, another injured

A do­mes­tic dis­pute is be­lieved to have end­ed in one man be­ing stabbed to death and an­oth­er in­jured dur­ing the ear­ly hours of yes­ter­day morn­ing. 

Po­lice iden­ti­fied the mur­der vic­tim as Lennox Williams, 64, a labour­er of Cen­tral Street, Vista­bel­la.

The wound­ed man is a 44-year-old nurs­ing as­sis­tant who lives at the same ad­dress. 

Po­lice said around 2 am, a 20-year-old man who al­so lives on the prop­er­ty was in a bed­room down­stairs when he awoke to an al­ter­ca­tion up­stairs the house. 

He alert­ed his fa­ther and went to in­ves­ti­gate. He told po­lice when he went up­stairs, he saw Williams and the oth­er man bleed­ing from stab wounds.

Both were tak­en to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where Williams died while re­ceiv­ing emer­gency at­ten­tion.

The in­jured man is in a sta­ble con­di­tion, po­lice said.
